数か月前にオーブン陶土（粘土）で形を作ったまま完全に放置されていた怪獣共に先日焼き入れてみました。黒々したやつにしたくて粘土の色も焼くと黒くなるという物を使ってみたんですが、焼成後は濃いグレーでした。焼き時間を上げると色が濃くなると書いてましたがあまり変化はなかったですね。カイロの鉄の粉末とかも一緒に練りこんでみたりしたんですが。
丸いのは昔から好きで描いていた形です。象の足だけみたいなやつ。模様入りのは皮工芸用の刻印で押してます。角だらけの怪獣はひび割れが多いんですが、それがなんだか味になってるというか、「どこで出土したんだよ」って感じで楽しいです。土偶怪獣。腹に穴があいてます。粘土に練りこんだ鉄粉が熱で茶色っぽくなって、それがまたなんとも出土感をかもしだしてます。
オーブン粘土はまだ趣味の段階で、これで即個展とかいうことはまだ考えてません。
